Elopement in Banff National Park, Full of Family Love

Eloping in the mountains with your kids? YES, PLEASE!

Banff National Park is one of Canadaโ€™s most gorgeous national parks. Boasting huge mountains and crystal clear waters, phenomenal hiking trails and an endless number of places to explore, Banff National Park is a wedding and elopement destination for Canadians and International couples alike.

This adorable couple wanted to exchange vows in an intimate setting with just their children present, and it could not have turned out more perfect.

We woke up at the crack of dawn* (*read, long before the crack of dawn, haha) and caught a bus from Canmore to Moraine Lake to catch the sunrise while hiking to find a perfect place to exchange vows.

We decided to stop in the trees along the shoreline of water, with mountains in the background, allowing for C + T to truly be alone and intimate without people constantly watching them.

Their wonderful kiddos were hanging out with my wonderful kiddos and my partner behind us while C + T exchanged vows. (Just a reminder we can always adapt to make YOUR elopement dreams work, and yes I will wear your kiddos, or enlist my partner to help haha).

C + T exchanged vows together, while I was there to capture, but not close enough to hear. All for them, and only them, in the most loving way.

Then we let the kiddos run in and enjoy the celebration of their family!

After everyone hugged and enjoyed their moment, we went on to do some family photos all dolled up - because there can never be too many family photos (trust me, as a mom, I know this).

After we were done with photos, we went to have some coffee, hot chocolate and food at the cafe on site before waiting for our bus back to Canmore. And while we did this, all the kids became besties - it was adorable.
